It seems a little strange not to write this blog. I thought, in case you didn't see last week's, I should drop by to say I haven't forgotten any of you but I need a little break, just like with the weather.
Extreme heat for 3 days this week (having the pool was great so I was able to stay outside comfortably) followed by cool wet weather yesterday and today! It's not been a good spring but fingers crossed summer will be better.
I have begun painting - well, at least remeasuring all the features on the portrait because I felt something wasn't quite right. Sure enough, I had made a mistake with the mouth and one eyebrow was slightly too high. Those have been corrected and I can begin to add colour to the underpainting. I'm looking forward to spending this rainy Sunday with this smiling little boy as I begin to bring him to life with my brushes.
